WHAT IS CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Posted by Jean-Philip Marceau on

Circular economy is
the process of transforming waste into resources allowing them to be reintroduced into the production cycle. In a circular economy, nothing is wasted. The circular economy retains and recovers as much value as possible from resources by reusing, repairing, refurbishing, remanufacturing, repurposing, or recycling products and materials (Gouvernement du Canada, 2023).

With this process, it is possible to bring and create more value, because what is considered a "waste" reaching the end of its life cycle as a product becomes the beginning of the life cycle of a new product.

Let’s take a more concrete example, our JORDAN sneaker. This shoe is made with overproduction of clothes, the «waste», in this case, then, these clothes become the first resource to produce our sneakers.

Circular economy allows less waste and responsible practices 😀
